Shelterhouse offers free & confidential mental health services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
We believe in the inherent dignity and strength of each individual person, and are passionate about providing mental health support in whichever way feels most impactful to you, whether that be one-on-one sessions or support groups.
Specialites/Modalities
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for complexing complex trauma and developing healthy coping skills
- Play therapy for primary and secondary young victims of abuse or assualt
- Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CF-CBT)
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Brainspotting
Support Groups
Shelterhouse’s support groups are constantly changing and evolving based on the needs of our clients, such as:
- Trauma Recovery Empowerment Model groups (TREM)
- Male Survivors of Violence for male survivors
- Voices for girls ages 12-17 focused on self-esteem and empowerment
- Under the Roof to build connection & community with other survivors
